Jasmine Krotkov has had a varied and service- oriented career. For over 20 years, she was a public servant with the United States Postal Service where she worked as a carrier, Postmaster, and Postmaster trainer. She was also the Editor of the National Association of Postmasters. In that role, Jasmine lobbied Congress for issues concerning Montanans and our essential small-distribution post offices. In addition to the USPS, Jasmine also designed and installed Chinook-zone gardens for public spaces and private clients with Buffalo Girl Farms.
After living in Nepal to do research on the way refugee communities influenced and were influenced by agricultural practices and ecosystems, Jasmine knew she had to offer her skills to the public back home in Montana. In her next session, Jasmine plans to work on energy efficiency, so that small businesses and homeowners can save money on their power bills.
Jasmine’s career has revolved around standing up for regular Montanans. Jasmine thinks about how lucky we are to have such beautiful and accessible public lands, and is in the legislature to defend our right to access them. Public lands drive our economy, and she knows that regular Montanans need that economy to work for them, not just people that buy their way through life. Most of all, Jasmine is in tune with what unites us. To use her words, “I am called to public service knowing that what brings us together is greater than what separates us.”

PRIORITIES
- EDUCATION: As a life-long learner, I support access to high quality, affordable education. This includes early childhood programs, public universities and community colleges, skilled trade apprenticeships and opportunities for paid community service. I encourage the development and expansion of high-quality educational and vocational programs accessible without burdensome debt. Leveling the playing field so that our children are prepared for the future.
- ENVIRONMENT: I support science-based sustainable energy technologies. Environmental degradation and the scarcity and inequitable distribution of resources are underlying causes of many hardships faced by Montanans.
- HEALTHCARE:To allow all people to fulfill their potential, lower cost health care options. Everyone deserves an opportunity for a healthy, fulfilling life that doesn’t break the bank.
- SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESSES: Affordable housing for all. Job training and skill development for all. Fair tax policies that allow small business to compete.
